From the Founder - Makeda Crane
I'm Makeda S. Crane—an attorney, trained mediator, and facilitator with a deep commitment to helping people move through conflict with clarity and care. Before founding Feather & Scale Strategies, I worked across government, legal, and nonprofit spaces, including roles as an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist, solo attorney, Communications Advisor, and Team Leader. I’ve spent years helping individuals and institutions navigate the complex terrain of communication breakdowns, workplace challenges, and organizational change.
With a foundation in law and hands-on experience in conflict resolution, coaching, and team development, I created this practice to offer something I found missing: a space where truth, balance, and emotional intelligence are at the heart of how we resolve problems. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe in listening deeply, honoring each story, and helping people find grounded, practical ways forward. This work matters to me because I’ve seen what’s possible when people feel heard, respected, and empowered. At Feather & Scale Strategies, we don’t just manage conflict—we help people transform it.
